Thalias goal is to select talented fund managers able to produce above average absolute returns, resulting from a disciplined investment process (transparent, consistent and repeatable), coherent with the risk taken. Through the construction of well diversified Funds of Hedge Funds and portfolios based on alternative products, Thalia attempts to further improve these risk-return relationships. These products and services are developed for the Groups companies and on behalf of European institutional clients. Thalia is currently portfolio manager for two Swiss-authorized Funds of Hedge Funds the BSI Multimanager Risk Fund and the BSI Yield Enhancement and for the Generali Hedge Funds Sicav (GHFS), an umbrella fund domiciled in Luxemburg for the management of eight single strategy funds of funds specialized in all the major single-manager hedge funds strategies. Moreover, Thalia acts as Advisor for Absoluta (the BSIs Hedge Fund mandate created in 2004) and for the Italian authorized Funds of Hedge Funds of Generali Thalia Investments Italy SGR, where Thalia is represented on the Board of Directors by its President Christian Ferry (also a Managing Director of BSIs Financial Services Division) and by its CEO Alberto Di Stefano. Effective from 1 April 2007, Thalia also became investment advisor of Generali Thalia Investments France SAS, a company authorized by the AMF to operate in the Funds of Hedge Funds area within the French domestic market. The new company is based in Paris and is 65% owned by Generali Investments, 25% by BSI and 10% directly by Thalia that serves as advisor in addition to its role as a founding shareholder.
